Hi,

First real issue of The Third Button. If you're here from Empleado Emprendedor, yes, it's in English now. Thanks for staying.

In case you missed it. I'm building HAGGIN, a link a SaaS founder can send to customers who are about to leave. The trial ended, they clicked cancel, they never answered the quote. Instead of just leaving, they can make an offer. The founder can accept, counter or pass. Nobody else sees a different price.

I launched on September 7 with zero users and promised to publish every number. Three weeks in: 5 companies signed up, 2 Haggins published, 0 offers, 0 deals. It's all public at hagg.in/open.

What didn't work

The first week I did the usual stuff. Three posts a day on X. Fewer than 10 people a day came to the site from all that, so I stopped on day 8. Product Hunt sent me 3 visits. And on Hacker News I wrote 22 comments before finding out 16 of them were dead. Nobody saw them. Nobody told me.

What did

The slower stuff. I open someone's pricing page, look for the spot where people probably drop off, a big jump between two plans, a trial that ends with nothing in between, and write to the founder about that one thing. If I can't find anything specifc I don't write. I've done this with 68 founders. 20 replied. Some just said no.

Reddit was the one surprise. I started only commenting on posts that were less than two hours old and had almost no replies, because once a thread gets busy, you're just another reply halfway down the page. Karma went from 11 to 28 in a day, which is kind of ridiculous, but one of those comments turned into a founder publishing their own Haggin. It's been live since Saturday.

What I changed

How I explain it. Three founders told me price wasn't their problem. One had the numbers: 70% of his users buy in the first week. The interesting users are the ones already leaving, so that's who I'm targeting for now

What's next

Founding pricing closed last night. $9 a month forever, and nobody took it. A discount doesn't help much if people don't want the product in the first place. Pro is $29 now.

This week I want one thing: a founder getting a real offer on their Haggin. If you run a SaaS and want to be the first, just reply. Pro's on me for 60 days.
